Getting there: what to expect
- ✓ Route: Route 5 to Lanco, paved road to Lake Panguipulli, then Choshuenco and Neltume — one of the most scenic drives we do.
- ✓ The last 3 to 5 km inside the reserve are gravel; signage is scarce at night, so tell us the exact name of your lodge.
- ✓ Bring rain gear in any season: it is temperate rainforest, and it may snow in Neltume in winter.
- ✓ Book the return together with the arrival: mobile signal in the mountains is patchy, and a confirmed pickup time does not depend on it.
